A project by Shenzhen's Longhua District Government Service Data Administration, focusing on technology applications in managing government affairs for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan compatriots, was recently recognized as a best practice in government service digitalization at the fifth National Exchange Conference on Government Service Soft Power held in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province.

To streamline processes for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents living in Shenzhen, the bureau has digitalized various government service procedures, including the application, reissuance, renewal, and extension of identification documents. It has also employed AI technology to provide audio guidance in English and Cantonese and compiled a digital handbook addressing FAQs on entrepreneurship, livelihood, finance, and education.

In addition, the bureau has collaborated with other government agencies to host Q&A sessions and offer on-site consultation and approval services for these residents.

The project was selected by the event’s organizing committee from a total of 135 entries across six categories.
